Since its establishment 50 years ago, the Hong Kong Housing Authority has all along upheld the core values of Caring, Customer-focused, Creative and Committed, providing affordable and high-quality housing for the public.
The exhibit visualizes the first resettlement estate completed in Shek Kip Mei in 1954 as a showcase, revealing the unique public housing designs from the 1950s to the present. Over the years, the public housing designs have been both orderly organized and adaptive to varied site conditions with optimized land utilization, creating quality living spaces that can cope with different environments and needs of living, as well as nurturing collective memories.
We not only cherish the past but also look forward to the future. We will continue to explore, review and work hand in hand with the people to build a quality home.
